Write an Annotated Bibliography- “Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass: An American Slave”

Choose either “Narrative of the Life of Frederick Douglass: An American Slave” OR “A Raisin in the Sun”

Choose one and complete an Annotated Bibliography composed of the following:

1) A thesis/quote from a 2ndry source that clearly identifies a very specific issue. Ideally thesis/quote should lend itself to serving as an outline to the research

2) 5-7 secondary sources that further expand on the theme identified by thesis/quote. Your annotation of these 2ndry sources will develop how they relate back to thesis/quote. Ideally they will illuminate another angle of the issue suggested in thesis/quote. Also pull out 2-3 key quotes from the respective 5-7 2ndry sources.

3) Each 2ndry source should be supported w 2-3 quotes from the primary literature. I.e. If you’re doing sexism in Raisin, the 2ndry source you’ve researched discussing sexism should be complemented by scenes from the play that illustrate the particular points made in the 2ndry source.
