Hello everyone I’m Bella. Today the part I will talk about is how good self awareness affects the teamwork.
First we should know what’s self awareness. Self awareness is the process to understand how your motivations, preferences and personality influence the judgment decisions and interactions with other people. It is able to monitor and control your feelings, biases and communication style.
Then we should understand how self awareness help us in teamwork. Self-awareness helps us understand our strengths as well as weaknesses, which will make us have a more exactly analysis of ourselves. It also help us set appropriate life and career goals and work on a self-improvement program. The excellent self awareness is especially important for the members in team work. As for leaders, good self awareness will help them able to relate to or empathize with co-workers and able to reduce the potential for conflict. What the most important is able to create trusting and productive work environments. As for employees in the team work, it will make them learn more details about themselves. Then they should have self analysis to check which part of job they good at. Because of the diversity of group mates, self awareness and self analysis will make the division of labor more clear and the work more efficient in the team work, which will lead to the success for team work.
Finally, we should talk about how to gain self-awareness. Enhance your self-awareness of your strengths, weaknesses, attitudes and values. Analyze how you felt in a situation that worked for you. Self-disclose – tell someone about your feelings on both these occasions. Try to gain experiences with a variety of people and in new situations. Increase your emotional intelligence.
Ok that’s all what I want to say and my group mate Loris will do the next.
