Recently an organisational problem has emerged and you are asked to address it to ensure that it does not get out of control and cause damage to the company’s performance.

The problems are imaginary which are given in the first document. You have to choose one of the problems for this assessment. Other requirements are given in following documents.

Purpose is To define the organisational problem, identify and explain the underlying causes and to identify and briefly explain the functions of management to which the underlying causes relate.

Assessment Item 3: Virtual Business – Part A

  Introduction (50 words approximately)

Identify the purpose of the report

• Discussion of the organizational problem (500 words approximately)

Give a brief description of the organizational problem (approx. 60 words)

• Identification of the causes of the problem (approx. 340 words)

Identify at least three possible underlying causes (issues) and the functions to which they relate (Planning, Leading, Organising, Controlling)

• Critical underlying cause (approx. 100 words)

Select and justify the most likely cause and relate this to your Virtual Business
