The purpose of this study is to determine which domain on organizational learning that predicts the public service motivation of employees. Specifically, it answers the following objectives:
Research Objectives
The purpose of this study will determine which domains of core work values of librarians significantly influence their intention to leave. Specifically, this study has the following objectives:
- To describe the level of core work values among librarians in terms of
1.1. work to serve the public;
1.2. work towards common goals;
1.3. work to the best of abilities; and
1.4. valuing and respecting each other.
- To determine the level of intent to leave among librarians in terms of
2.1. perceived alternative employment opportunities;
2.2. job hopping; and
2.3. turnover intention.
- To describe if there is a significant relationship between core work values among librarians and their intent to leave.
- To describe which domains of the core work values of librarians significantly influence their intention to leave.
Hypothesis
The following null hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance:
- There is no significant relationship between the core work values among librarians and their intent to leave.
- There is no domain of core work values that significantly influence intention to leave of the librarians.
