Fostering Life-long Learning

The purpose of the written responses is to provide candidates an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, abilities, and skills related to successful school-based administration. The two questions are based on the Strategic Plan.

When constructing a response, a candidate should identify an authentic task he or she undertook which demonstrates leadership as a school-based administrator and one that demonstrates preparedness for the principalship. In the response, a candidate should summarize the initiative taken as well as the impact on one or more stakeholder groups (staff, community, or student).

Each written response must be 500 words or fewer.

Question #1:

•How have you supported a dynamic school environment designed to foster life-long learning and support students in achieving their full potential? Be specific in your examples and outcome.

Question #2

•What strategies have you utilized to recruit and retain high quality employees? Be specific in the actions taken and the stakeholder groups involved.
