QUESTION 1: According to Ernsberger, in what concrete ways did the blizzard of 1888 change the future New York City?
QUESTION 2: What was the law that was used to take the land away from the people who lived in Seneca Village? Give me an example of that law being used recently. Are there any good reasons to keep that law on the books?
QUESTION 3: Why did Beach’s pneumatic subway fail? Who was responsible for its failure? Do a little research online. What happened to the person who ensured Beach’s failure?
QUESTION 4: Glancey describes a lot of the art that surrounds Rockefeller Center, but some of the artistic history of the center is left out. Do some basic research, and tell me what happened to the mural painted by Diego Rivera? Be sure to describe why it happened.
