you will compare and contrast HR functions in your chosen country with the USA.

Choose 3 different HR functions from the following list: recruitment, orientation, training, supervision, compensation and benefits, human resources development, performance evaluation, and/or discharge and describe how they may be the same or different in your chosen country to what is commonly practiced in the USA. Please be sure to discuss each of the functions separately.

What major chains are present in your country of choice and how many properties does each have?

Choose one chain and discuss its expansion plans within the country. Be sure to include how this is being accomplished (new builds, mergers, acquisitions).

Discuss how classifications and standards are determined in the country for independent hotels. Are they determined by the government? A private agency? By the hoteliers themselves?
