Perception involves how you think and feel about the world around you. However, your self-concept deals with how you think and feel about whom and what you are. Your self-concept, much like your perceptions, will shape your communication.

For this discussion, please respond to the following:

Share a personal or professional situation in which your self-concept had an impact on communication.
How would you approach the situation differently today? Why?
