Discuss how the instructions in 2 Timothy 2:15-16 can be used to inspire Christian healthcare workers
2 Timothy 2:15-16 asks for us to work and seek to please God and no one else. We should work to satisfy what our managers and supervisors require of us, but ultimately, we are to please only God. Timothy knew his place was to please God and no one else as the world can tempt us with things that we never see or ever need. We are not to be ashamed that we are seeking God, as he is the reason for our being. We are to accurately handle the word of God by its truth. Be bold and stand firm on his word. We were not to bicker and continue to fight but comprehend a deeper understanding of who God was and what he wanted us to do in this life.
In healthcare, we are not to shy away from the truth and handle issues as they come our way by the word. We are to consider the word of God when we complete our work in healthcare. The quality of healthcare should be given based on the word of God and God himself. Allow God to welcome and usher in a spirit of motivation that will improve the type of work we do. We are not to be ashamed of the work we do for God as; again, we are only looking to please him. Studying his word allows us to improve our work here on earth. Understanding what is worthy of battling and what is not, is who we are in Christ and in healthcare. Sometimes, things are out of our control and we must allow God to fight (as he will always win). As we walk without shame, God will bless us to continue in his will.
