Cyber Security Question
Activity Overview
For this activity you will use the common network diagram below to assess the security posture within this architecture. There are many combinations of security, and philosophies on how to best protect this network and you have full reign to “think outside of the box” – there is no right or wrong answer. You would treat this network as if you were doing an assessment on National Infrastructure. The map could represent: a traffic operations center, power plant, or a financial institution headquarters.
ANALYZING NETWORK ARCHITECTURE
View the network architecture and find 3 key devices that will help you asses the security of this network. Where would YOU look to help you make informed decisions on how to secure this network or find vulnerabilities? Assume you have a incident response team reporting to an event (the event could be a power outage, a reported hacker or insider threat). Where would YOU like the Incident Respond Team to assess? Where would you want them to monitor traffic? (routers are always a good place to start)

DELIVERABLES & REQUIREMENTS
Submit a word document or other text editor document through the assignment link above or using the “Assignments” link in the navbar to the left of this page. (Be sure to submit your assignment to the right module.)
- Identify 3 key devices that YOU want to look into and assess.
- Prioritize each device using a scale 1-3. (Priority 1 is the most important and priority 3 is the least important)
- Provide a summary of why you would assess each device
