The objectives achieved by using BIM are to maintain the best and clearest code of communication between different stakeholders. The client should easily be able understand any aspect of the project from design to costing’s and time management of the project (for example, ensuring certain stages of work are completed before beginning of university term time etc.).
Other stakeholders such as the engineers and contractors can all work from the same files with a clear understanding of the process involved in the project and how each role applies to each individual stakeholder.
Costing, quoting and fees will all be monitored using BIM. Continual money management can take place to ensure each stakeholder doesn’t exceed certain budgets or goals.

For example ensuring that if an electrical contractor finishes work on a floor of the building that they are able to move onto the next floor without any delays and that there is a continuous flow of work being carried out.

Secondary Objectives-To manage time, money and resources.
